Wilderness First Aid Course 野外救命救急
Last year I took a 4 day Wilderness First Aid course through Backcountry Rescue in Nagano.I was so inspired by it that I knew I wanted to know more and work more closely with these people and do what I could to help spread the knowledge and skills of wilderness medicine here in Kyushu. This is the first step in that process!
The Wilderness First Aid course is the first step into the world of wilderness medicine. You don`t have to have dreams of being a guide or an outdoor pro in order to take this course. This course is designed to be open to everyone in any category. Even if you are just a weekend traveller or an avid day hiker, the knowledge you will gain from this course will help to make you more confident and give you the skills to know what to do when you come upon an emergency in the backcountry.
Wilderness First Aidは、助けが自分以外にいない、救急車も呼べない、そんな野外環境や災害時の非常事態に、目の前の患者の命に係る傷病を的確に特定し、最善の処置は何なのかを判断できるようになる、野外救命救急（ウィルダネスファーストエイド）の基礎を学ぶ、2日間の総合医療トレーニングコースです。都市環境に適応されたCPR（心肺蘇生）に重点を置くプログラムと、WFAはかなり異なります。野外救命救急はアウトドア愛好家や山・川・海で仕事をするプロフェショナル、災害時の救命処置を必要とする全ての人のために作られた、総合医療トレーニングです。WFAではほとんどの講習を野外での実技を中心に進めることで、傷病処置の基礎を頭だけの理解ではなく、手に「技術」として残る救急法を教えます。
The Course will take place over 2 days at the Yasugoken National Institution for Youth Education in Asakura Fukuoka.
